Singing is probably the greatest form of human communication. The difference between speaking and singing is he sustaining of sound. When we sustain a sound we connect with emotion and when we add the intellectual property of words we move people.  To help others find honesty and sincerity n this art form is my passion.

Tom has worked extensively in London’s West End and was most recently Assistant Conductor on the musical CHICAGO. His other West End credits include: Andrew Lloyd Webber's ASPECTS OF LOVE at the Prince of Wales and BY JEEVES at the Lyric. DAMN YANKEES at the Adelphi. Also JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, LUST, KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, CITY OF ANGELS, SHE LOVES ME and Cameron Mackintosh's MISS SAIGON at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. He was Children's Musical Director/3rd conductor for Cameron Mackintosh on OLIVER at the London Palladium.


Since 1990 Tom has been Vocal Coach at RADA, working in conjunction with the singing teachers there, and in November 2010 he was invited to Moscow to give two public master-classes at an International Conference on Music Theatre. In 2013 and 2015 he taught on Music Theatre courses in Manila Philippines. In April 2009 Tom taught on a very successful Gems Education Course in Dubai.


In 1985 he made his debut at New York's Carnegie Hall as an accompanist for in the Concert Artists Guild Competition. He was MD of The Vivian Ellis Prize for new musicals organised by the Performing Rights Society in 1995 and 1996.


He has made many appearances on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 3 as an accompanist and as the specialist music presenter on BBC Radio Berkshire.


Since 1992 Tom has worked with lyricist Sara Ridgley writing original children's musicals as Writers of Note! Ltd. Tom has a successful website,, which provides the lyrics and downloadable piano accompaniment to a huge library of songs. Both professional and amateur singers use it as an invaluable tool when learning new songs or preparing for auditions.


After retiring from West End work Tom has formed many cabaret duets with singers, most notably Nicky Haslam, and in August 2017 Tom produced the Musical Cabaret Revue ‘In Gay Company’ by Fred Silver, at the Jermyn Street Theatre in London to great acclaim.
